Citrus Scores Most Points in 15 Years

Citrus College scored the most points since 2008 with a 113-79 victory over LA City College Friday afternoon.

The 16th-ranked Owls improve to 6-1 overall with their sixth-straight win, while the Cubs fall to 0-7 on the year.

Five Owls finished the night in double figures, led by Malik Khouzam's 22 points (6-for-11 from three-point range). Tyrel Creger followed with 16 points (7-for-12), while EJ Bryson chipped in 14 points (5-for-7) and JJ Mitchell finished with 13 points (6-for-11). Grant Martin rounded out the scorers with double-digit points with 10 points and also posted 11 rebounds for a double-double.

Citrus keyed in on defense and forced 40 turnovers, with over half of them coming in the first half alone and scored 44 points off the turnovers.

The Owls turn right around to take on No. 22-ranked Santiago Canyon College at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
