No. 26-ranked Citrus College got back on track Tuesday night and grabbed a 97-82 victory over Long Beach City College.

The Owls improve to 8-4 on the year, while the Vikings drop to 6-6 overall.

As a team, Citrus shot 43.1 percent from the floor, including 44.8 percent from three-point range.

Five Owls finished the game in double figures with Malik Khouzam leading the charge with 12 points (4-for-7). Brandon Suber (4-for-9) and JJ Mitchell (4-for-11) followed with 11 points each, while Xerian Anderson (3-for-4) and Rudy Suarez (3-for-4) chipped in 10 points apiece.

Grant Martin helped the Owls out-rebound the Vikings 55-to-46 with 10 rebounds, followed by eight boards from Suber.

Citrus scored the first points of the night and never looked back, holding as high as a 20-point lead at one point.

The Owls take a break for the holidays and return to the hardwood next year hoping to pick up where they left off with their first game back at Moorpark College on Jan. 2.
