Owls Wrap-Up Season

Citrus College wrapped up conference play Monday afternoon with the WSC Championships at Knollwood Golf Club in Granada Hills, California. The Owls went into the championships in second place but struggled to find their rhythm at the conference championships and finished in fourth place overall in the conference standings. 

In round one, the Owls finished in fifth place and posted a team score of 391 with all five scoring players carding under an 80. Lorenzo Herrera shot a team-best 77 in his first round, while Daichi Nishisu and Chris Ruiz followed with a 78. Rounding out the card was Kabir Chada and Astin Mount, both with a 79. Carter Gauthier was the Owls' drop score with an 89.

In the second round, the Owls finished sixth with a team score of 391. The Owls were led by Daichi Nishisu going even par with a 72. Kabir Chada improved his second round by two strokes, carding a 77, and Chris Ruiz carded a 78 for his second round of the day. Carter Gauthier and Ashtin Mount rounded out the card, both scoring an 82, while Lorenzo Herrera was the Owls' drop score with a 90.

Daichi Nishisu qualified for the 3C2A Southern California Championships and will be competing at Rio Grande Golf Course on Sunday, May 7th, and Monday, May 8th.
