Glendora, CA (Men's Soccer) -- Tuesday evenings Western State Conference contest inside Citrus Stadium saw 25 shots, 10 on goal, and four corners, yet when the whistle was blown neither team had scored. The Citrus College Men's Soccer team hosted Allan Hancock College in a conference meeting as both teams settled for a 0-0 tie in a physical contest.

Allan Hancock would be steady from the get go, recording seven shots in each half, with eight of their 14 total firings falling on frame. Citrus' freshman keeper Greg Veron was game though, as he recorded a save on all eight of those shots, recording his first shutout of the year.

The Owls meanwhile, mustered five shots in the first 45 minutes and then six more in the final half of play. Despite taking 11 shots, the Owls were wild as they placed just two on goal en route to being shutout for the fourth time this year. Citrus struggled to maintain their momentum on the offensive side of the ball as they were whistled for six offsides.

With the tie, Citrus falls to 2-5-3 overall and 1-3-2 in Western State Conference play. The Owls will be back at home on Friday when they host the final match of their current three game home stand. Citrus will take on Santa Monica, which is fielding a men's team for the first time in awhile. The match is set for a 3:00 PM start time.
