Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Men's Soccer program wrapped up their 2013 home slate on Tuesday afternoon when they hosted Santa Monica College. The Owls tied the Corsairs in their home finale, 1-1.

Citrus maintained its aggressive play at home rattling off nine shots in the first half and 20 in total. Santa Monica meanwhile managed just two in the first half, compared with six in the second half. The Owls had a number of good looks in that first half, but didn't find the back of the net until freshman Raul Laguitan converted off a pass from freshman Shusuke Kajiwara in the 43rd minute.

Citrus continued to try and keep their momentum headed in the right direction in the first half. Based on their total number of shots, they did, but the Santa Monica keeper played an outstanding half in goal, stopping all seven shots on goal he faced from the Owls. The Corsairs meanwhile applied plenty of pressure on Citrus' end eventually tying the game up late in the 83rd minute.

In the tie, Citrus' record moves to 6-11-2 overall and 5-8-2 in WSC play. The Owls will close out their 2013 season on Friday at Glendale, with the match set for a 5:00 PM start.
