San Bernardino, CA -- The Citrus College Men's Soccer team got their 2015 season off to a rough start on Tuesday afternoon as they headed east to lock horns with San Bernardino Valley College. The Owls were sent back home with nothing to show as they were blanked 4-0 in the season opener.

The Owls faced an onslaught by San Bernardino early, as Citrus recorded two shots in the first half compared to 11 attempts by the Wolverines. Making matters worse, were that none fell on frame, a trend that would continue into the second half of play.

In the final frame, Citrus slowed the San Bernardino attack slightly, holding the Wolverines to eight shots, while they rattled off three. Still, the Owls were unable to find the goal, and we're sent packing in the loss.

With the loss, Citrus falls to 0-1 on the season. The Owls will hit the road again this Friday when they head South to take on San Diego Mesa College. First touch is set for 4:00 PM.
