Owls Finish Season With Win at Canyons

Santa Clarita, CA - The Citrus College Men’s Soccer team closed out the second most successful season in program history on Friday afternoon with a 1-0 victory at College of the Canyons. Citrus scored their goal midway through the first half and then hung on in the second half of their victory over the Cougars.

Owls Take Rams to Brink in 1-1 Tie

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Men’s Soccer team closed out their 2016 home schedule on Tuesday afternoon with an exciting affair. Facing 1st place Victor Valley College, the Owls took the Rams to the brink scoring a late goal and nearly upsetting Victor Valley, before they answered in stoppage time in the 1-1 tie.

Glendale, CA – For just the fourth time this season, and the second time in conference play, the Citrus College Men’s Soccer team was held without a goal. The Owls’ offense was stymied at conference leading Glendale College in a 1-0 loss.

Bakersfield, CA - The Citrus College Men's Soccer team added to their impressive road resume on Tuesday evening when they travelled to Bakersfield College. The road warrior Owls came back to Glendora with a 2-0 win moving to a 5-3-1 mark on the road.

Owls Rally to Snap Three Game Skid

Lancaster, CA - The Citrus College Men’s Soccer team overcame a 1-0 first half deficit on Friday afternoon, rallying to get two goals in the second half of action, defeating host Antelope Valley College 2-1, and stopping a three game skid in the process.

Owls Lose Third Straight in Defensive Struggle

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Men’s Soccer team lost their third straight contest on Tuesday afternoon in what amounted to a defensive struggle with visiting College of the Canyons. The match featured just nine total shots, only five of which ended up on frame, as the Cougars got out of Glendora with a 1-0 win.

Owls Drop Second Straight; Suffer Worst Conference Loss to Date

Victorville, CA - After starting off Western State Conference South Division play a promising 1-0-1, the Citrus College Men’s Soccer team has hit a wall in it’s last two contests. The Owls followed up last Tuesday’s 2-1 setback to Glendale College with their second straight loss, 1-4, their worst of the conference schedule to date.

Vaqueros Upend Owls in 79th Minute

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Men’s Soccer team had their three game point streak come to a halt on Tuesday afternoon. The Owls managed just five total shots in a physical contest with visiting Glendale College that saw Citrus fall to the Vaqueros 2-1.

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Men’s Soccer continued it’s strong 2016 campaign on Friday when it continued WSC South play with a 3-2 victory over visiting Bakersfield College. The Owls did so in large part to the play of freshman Ramon Gutierrez Jr. who razored through the Renegade defense, scoring twice and assisting on Citrus’ other goal.

Owls Draw Even With AVC in Conference Opener

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Men’s Soccer team opened up their inaugural Western State Conference South Division schedule on Tuesday afternoon by drawing even with visiting Antelope Valley College. The Owls and Marauders played a close and entertaining match throughout, but when the whistled blew three times it was Citrus 1, Antelope Valley 1.

Cypress, CA - The Citrus College Men’s Soccer team took two fewer shots and five fewer corner kicks than their host Cypress College on Tuesday afternoon. The Owls beat the Chargers where it mattered though, scoring twice and shutting out Cypress, in a 2-0 victory.

Comeback Trifecta

September 28, 2016

Santa Maria, CA - After the long and arduous journey 177 mile journey to Allan Hancock College, the Citrus College Men’s Soccer team found themselves down 2-0 at the half. The Owls completed the comeback trifecta in the second half though, including a game winner in stoppage time to leave Allan Hancock with a 3-2 victory.

Moorpark, CA - After scoring a season high four goals at home earlier in the week, the Citrus College Men’s Soccer team hit the road on Friday afternoon to take on former WSC rival Moorpark College. The Owls nearly matched the Raiders shot for shot, but came home empty handed in a 2-0 loss.

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Men's Soccer team put together arguably it's best performance of the 2016 season on Tuesday afternoon when they hosted El Camino College-Compton Center. Much of that was thanks to the play of freshman Joel Rosales who had a hat trick and an assist in the Owls' 4-2 win over the Tartars.

The Citrus College Men's Soccer team earned it's first results against Oxnard College since 2008.
Owls Tie Defending State Champs 0-0

Oxnard, CA – For the first time since 2008, the Citrus College Men’s Soccer team earned a results against long time thorn in their side Oxnard College, with a 0-0 tie over the weekend. Even more impressive, was the Owls did so against the Condors when they are arguably at the peak of their prowess fresh off the program’s first ever CCCAA State Championship in 2015.

Turning of the Table

Norco, CA - Four days after scoring a last second goal down at Palomar College, the Citrus College Men’s Soccer program experienced a turning of the table on Tuesday afternoon in a 1-0 loss at Norco College. The Mustangs scored with less than seven minutes left in regulation to send the Owls home empty handed.
