Alvarez-Novales Set to Join Elite NAIA Squad

Citrus College's Jose Alvarez-Novales has committed to play at the next level following a solid two-year campaign with the Owls.

The sophomore defender is headed to Hope International University, which won the Golden State Athletic Conference Tournament Championship last year and advanced to the NAIA Tournament.

Alvarez-Novales was a staple in the Owls' backline for the past two years and a team captain this year. He started all 20 games he appeared in and scored once and assisted once this year, earning himself All-Western State Conference first-team honors.

"My time at Citrus was good because of the type of people I had around me like my teammates and coaches," said Alvarez-Novales.
