Glendora, CA (Men's Water Polo) -- Sophomore Jordan Ziegler is set to continue his water polo career at the next level. Ziegler will attend California Baptist University in Riverside next year, and has accepted an opportunity to walk on with the Men's Water Polo team.

"I like the water polo program there [Cal Baptist], and I've been considering it a long time. The religious atmosphere and engineering program fit what I was looking for," Ziegler said. "It met all of the requirements."

Ziegler had two strong seasons for the Owls, earning 2nd team All-Western State Conference honors as a freshman and then garnering a 1st team nod as a sophomore. As a sophomore, Ziegler led the Owls with 74 goals, along with 30 assists, as he helped guide Citrus to its best record in nearly a decade.

"Citrus has kept me motivated to keep playing water polo. It's made me betters as a player and helped prepare me for the four-year level. When I was coming out of high school, I wasn't good enough to compete at the level, and my two years here have prepared me for it," Ziegler said. "Citrus has been a fun, enlightening and exciting time for me. It's been a good and memorable experience."

Ziegler's Citrus career ends with 103 total goals and 88 assists. His 88 assists, is eighth all time in Owl program history.

"Jordan has helped to turn the Citrus program around. His ability to balance school and sports is what a student-athlete is all about," Head Citrus College Men's Water Polo Coach Brandon Rivas said. "Jordan has played a significant role in pointing this program in the right direction, and that speaks volumes about his character and dedication to the sport. There is no doubt in my mind he will be successful in whatever he does."
