Coming off a solid year, six Citrus College men's water polo players earned All-Western State Conference honors.

Ian Tauer and Matty Roebuck picked up first-team recognition, while Julian Nichols and Breck Weiny grabbed spots on the second team. Peter Herrera and Jacob Perez rounded out the six with Honorable Mention distinctions.

Tauer appeared in 25 games for the Owls, scoring 120 goals – ranking third in the CCCAA – and dishing out 48 assists. He finished the year with 65 steals (fifth in State) and 24 drawn exclusions. Defensively, Tauer also had five blocks.

Roebuck played in 27 games, scoring 72 goals and assisting 62 times, which ranks third in the CCCAA. He finished the year with 56 steals, 33 exclusions drawn and three blocked shots.

Nichols also appeared in all 27 games for the Owls, scoring 74 times with 51 assists. He had 36 steals, 12 blocks and 27 drawn exclusions on the year.

Weiny made 24 appearances with 49 goals, 33 assists and 33 steals. Defensively, he had 11 blocked shots and drew 25 exclusions.

Herrera played in 26 games for Citrus and had 18 goals and 47 assists. He stole the ball away 35 times, blocked 13 shots and drew 14 exclusions on the year.

Perez played in 17 games between the pipes for the Owls. He finished the year with a 70.0 win percentage and had 78 saves on the year.
