Nichols Named CCCWPCA Athlete of the Week

Citrus College's Jullian Nichols was named the California Community College Water Polo Coaches Association Male Athlete of the Week, announced Wednesday.

The six-foot-three sophomore attacker from Glendora, Calif., finished a busy week for the Owls with big numbers. In six weeks, Nichols scored 30 goals, dished out 10 assists and grabbed 24 steals.

In the Owls' 18-9 victory over Crafton Hills, Nichols rattled in seven goals and assisted on six others while snatching five steals. Two days later he helped Citrus dominate Fullerton College 12-3 with six goals, one assist and seven steals, along with a defensive block.

Nichols and the Owls host Ventura College for a Western State Conference Tournament Play-In game at 5:30 p.m.
