Glendora, CA -- For the second straight year, the Citrus College Softball program boasts an All-American. Freshman Kawehi Ephan was named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association Louisville Slugger California Community College All-American late last week.

Ephan was one of 20 players across the State to earn the honors. Ephan was also an All-State selection and Western State Conference Blue Division Player of the Year. Ephan obliterated the Citrus record books in her inaugural collegiate campaign, and was tops in the State in nearly every single offensive category.

Ephan's 20 home runs was the second most in the State, her 59 RBI's were eighth, her .523 batting average was the 9th best mark in the State, while her on-base percentage (.667) and slugging percentage (1.326) were the top marks. Her slugging percentage broke the previous best mark in CCCAA history by 200 points. All of those are new Citrus records.
