Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Softball team kept rolling in Western State Conference Blue Division play on Thursday afternoon with a 6-3 win over visiting Glendale College. The Owls came up with 10 hits, and had five of their six runs come via home runs.

Glendale drew first blood on the day, scoring a single run in the top of the first. It took an inning, but the Owls finally answered in the bottom of the second, when freshman Erinn Jaramillo launched a solo home run to left-center to make it 1-1. Before the inning was over, freshman Megan Troutman, gave Citrus their first lead with a groundout RBI to put the Owls up 2-1.

The Owls tacked on three more runs in the bottom of the third, when sophomore starting pitcher Arianna Sanchez (8-1) contributed to her own cause with a three run home run to near straight away center field to put Citrus up 5-1. Glendale would rally with a pair of RBI's in the top of the fourth to cut it 5-3, but sophomore Sara Moore would give the Owls their final cushion with a solo moon shot to right field in the bottom of the fifth to make it 6-3.

Moore finished 3 of 3 with a pair of runs and an RBI in the game. Sanchez was 2 for 3 at the plate with a pair of runs and those three RBI's. Freshman Kiana "Kalei" Guillermo had her best outing of the 2014 season going 2 for 3 in the win.
