Owls Softball Back in Post-Season
Glendora, CA - After a year's absence, the Citrus College Softball team is back in the California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Softball Playoffs. The Owls earned the #10 overall seed and will travel to #7 Cerritos College for a best two out of three series this weekend.
Citrus went 24-14 this season, and finished in a tie for second place in the Western State Conference East Division with a 13-5 record. The Owls are in the playoffs for the 10th time in the last 12 years under Head Coach Jackie Boxley. They'll be taking on a Cerritos College squad that finished in third place in the South Coast Conference North Division, with a 26-13 overall mark and 7-5 conference record.
Game #1 is set for a 2:00 PM first pitch, this Friday May 5th at Cerritos College. Game #2 will take place on Saturday May 6th, at 12:00 PM, with a Game #3 if necessary set for approximately 2:00 PM that same day.
