Cypress Stops Citrus, Clicks Repeat Button

Citrus Softball finally got the chance to take the field again after a week filled with rain delays, rescheduled games and lots of waiting. But the Owls struggled to to take flight on Saturday when they travelled to Cypress for a non conference doubleheader. The Chargers shut the Owls down 7-3 in the noon game and turned up the volume for the 2:00 game, unloading at the plate and shutting out the Citrus offense, snatching the win 8-0 in 5 innings.

Citrus will attempt to recover for the next stretch of games, the next 3 of which are conference matchups that will provide Citrus a chance to move up the ranks of the WSC East. The Owls currently sit in the #4 spot in conference with a respectable 4-3 mark and a 13-10 overall record.

Overall the Owls' coming week is pretty intense as they will make up for some rain delays on top of an already busy stretch. Starting Tuesday there is a game every day through Saturday for a total of 5 games. Tuesday is an away game at LA Valley to start things off. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday is a home stretch, and Saturday is away at Fullerton. For detailed and updated scheduling, click here
