Citrus College took a break from conference action Wednesday and took a quick lead but ultimately fell 3-2 to Pasadena City College.

The Owls slip to 18-20 on the year, while the Lancers improve to 23-12 overall.

Four Owls grabbed hits in the game: Desiree Loza, Marissa Gallegos, Marissa Ramirez and Tatiana Figueroa.

In the top of the second, Gallegos led off with a single up the middle and made her way to third on two Lancer mishaps. Ramirez blasted a base hit to left, scoring Gallegos before Paige Horvat came home on a Figueroa RBI single.

PCC tied the game in the bottom of the fifth before walking off with a run in the seventh to take the 3-2 victory.

Citrus has two games left on the regular season, beginning with LA Mission on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
