Playoff Pursuit Begins
Citrus College grabbed the #11 seed in the CCCAA Southern California Softball Playoffs. In their first-round matchups, the Owls will be heading to #6 seeded Long Beach City College for a best two out of three series. Game one of the series is set for 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
The Owls will be coming into the series with a 25-14 overall record and a 7-5 conference record that gave them a third-place finish in the Western State South Conference. The Vikings are 30-10 overall and finished 17-4 in conference play, securing second place in the South Coast Conference. In the first meeting between the Owls and Vikings on January 30th, the Vikings won 5-0.
This time the Owls are set to face the Vikings with a recent run of success, winning three of their last four games. They hope to continue their positive momentum in the upcoming series.
