Citrus College held off a late surge to grab its third-straight win with a 57-54 nonconference victory over Pasadena City College. It also marked the first win on the floor over PCC in program history – the Lancers had forfeited a game before as their only loss heading into Wednesday's contest.

The Owls improve to 13-11 on the year, while the Lancers now sit 8-12 on the year.

Katherine Goostrey led the Owls with 29 points (13-for-28) and flirted with a double-double with nine rebounds. She also had five assists and four steals in the game. Giselle Garcia-Nunez was just on the cusp of double figures with nine points, while Julie Garcia Man grabbed 11 rebounds.

Citrus took a double-digit lead (41-27) in the third, but PCC made things interesting in the final minutes of the game. The Lancers pulled within one with three minutes left in the fourth, but Reanne Reola responded right back, finding nothing-but-net on a trey from the corner off a Goostrey assist, 53-49.

With one minute left in the fourth, the Lancers evened things up at 53-53, but Goostrey kept the Owls in front with a pull-up jumper. PCC was then sent to the line, but only made one and was forced to foul with less than 20 seconds on the clock. Reola knocked down both her free throws to seal the 57-54 victory.

Citrus returns to Western State Conference-South action on Saturday, heading to the College of the Canyons for a 5 p.m. game.
