Citrus College put together a solid fourth quarter but it wasn't enough to overcome the College of the Canyons, dropping a 67-50 road loss.
The Owls slip to 5-11 on the year and 1-1 in Western State Conference action. The Cougars improve to 8-8 and 2-1 in conference.
Gabriela Valdez led the Owls with 16 points, while Giselle Garcia-Nunez posted a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, along with six assists. Reanne Reola was just on the cusp of double figures with nine points.
Citrus returns to the Owls' Nest to host LA Valley on Saturday at 5 p.m.
