Reola is Ready for Next Level

Citrus College's Reanne Reola is set to continue her collegiate playing career next year at St. Katherine's University in San Diego.

"My time at Citrus meant growth – it was a time where I could develop my game, but also grow as a person in ways that would benefit me," said Reola. "Coach B was a huge part of my Citrus experience. To play for a coach who would go above and beyond on and off the court made the experience the best. I faced many battles mentally on the court and faced my own life battles off the court and no matter what I was going through, my coach made Citrus feel like a home and safe space. I learned to always keep a positive mindset and to strive to be a person who is tough in my own light. Citrus is where I learned how to be tough and learn that regardless of anything I am undefeated because I believe in me."

Reola finished the year with the second-most minutes per game in the State, averaging 37.7 minutes per game. She scored in double figures 15 times, including a career-high 21 points at El Camino College in a 49-46 Owl win. Reola dished out 68 assists on the year, including 10 against LA Pierce, which was the sixth-most in program history.

"As I close this chapter and open the next one in my book, I will take everything I learned as a Citrus student-athlete and continue to keep growing," added Reola. "In any season that I am in, it is an opportunity to grow and to keep moving forward. I am feeling all the emotions as I walk into the next season of my life - happy, excited, nervous, etc. No matter what I will make the best of the opportunity God has blessed me with. I feel truly blessed to continue to keep playing basketball, it was all I ever wanted since I was a little girl. So, thank you Citrus, you have been so great to me in so many aspects and hello to the University of Saint Katherine."

Several other Owls will continue their academic careers, including Madison Salisbury (University of La Verne), Felicity Mendoza (Chico State), and Joceline Escamilla (Azusa Pacific University).
