Owls Hit Triple Digits in Third-Straight Win

Citrus College scored in triple digits for the first time since 2016 in a 101-46 victory over Santa Monica College.

The Owls improve to 12-4 overall with their third-straight win and remain undefeated in Western State Conference action at 2-0. The Corsairs slip to 2-12 on the year, 0-2 in conference.

Five Owls finished the game in double figures, led by Jolleen Olia with 27 points (10-for-19). Liz Camargo followed with 14 points (5-for-12), while Kaylana Viray (5-for-11) and Gabby Valdez (4-for-11) each chipped in 12 points. Kristin Morella rounded out the quintet with 10 points and dished out five assists.

Citrus out-rebounded Santa Monica 50-to-42 with Sammy Martinez grabbing 10 boards and Deija Mitchell snatching nine.

The Owls finished with 27 steals and forced 39 turnovers, which led to 49 of the visitors' points.

Citrus returns home to host the College of the Canyons on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
