Owls Bounced Out of Post-Season by Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara, CA - The Citrus College Women’s Soccer team’s fourth appearance in the playoffs in the last five years came to an end in the first round on Thursday evening. The Owls were bounced out of the post-season by Santa Barbara City College 4-0.
Women’s Soccer Back in Post-Season for Fourth Time in Five Years

Glendora, CA – The Citrus College Women’s Soccer team under the guidance of Head Coach Tim Tracey, continued its unprecedented run of success on Tuesday afternoon when it qualified for the playoffs for the second straight year and fourth time in the last five. The Owls earned the #19 seed and will be on the road on Thursday when it travels to #14 Santa Barbara City College for a 7:00 PM showdown inside La Playa Stadium.
Owls End Regular Season With Loss at Victor Valley

Victor Valley, CA - After managing just their fourth result in their last 12 contests with conference champion College of the Canyons on Tuesday, the Citrus College Women’s Soccer team closed out their 2016 campaign with a whimper on Friday afternoon as they travelled to Victor Valley College. While the Rams have been tough at home, Citrus managed just three total shots and were downed 1-0.
Owls and Cougars Tie

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Women’s Soccer team has been searching for a victory over College of the Canyons for over six years. Since 2011, the Owls were just 0-8-3 against the Cougars. Citrus wasn’t able to add a win to that total just yet, but did manage another tie, this one 1-1 against a talented Canyons team.
Owls Get Back on Track With Win Over Antelope Valley

Glendora, CA - After suffering just their second WSC East loss of their 2016 campaign, the Citrus College Women’s Soccer team got back on track on Friday afternoon with a 2-0 win over visiting Antelope Valley College. The Owls controlled the tempo of the match throughout and used two early goals to get the win.
Owls Upset by Renegades on Road

Bakersfield, CA - With playoff and conference title hopes still alive for the Citrus College Women’s Soccer team, the Owls hit the road on Tuesday afternoon, and were sent home with those hopes a little less prevalent than before. Bakersfield controlled the pitch from the jump and the Owls’ last ditch effort came up shy in a 2-1 loss to the Renegades.
Owls Dip Into the “Cookie” Jar

Glendora, CA - Trailing 1-0 at the break and looking lifeless through large portions of the first half, the Citrus College Women’s Soccer team dug deep into the “cookie” jar on Tuesday evening to find an answer for visiting Victor Valley College. Sophomore Jaline Miranda aka “Cookie”, sent two picturesque balls off corner kicks towards the opposing goal in the second half. One found the toe of a teammate and the other the back of the net as Citrus won 2-1.

Santa Clarita, CA - After spending the first 78 minutes of Friday afternoon’s Western State Conference East Division game at College of the Canyons, fending off shot after shot, the Citrus College Women’s Soccer team’s defense was finally broken late, giving up two scores in the final 12 minutes of action in a 2-0 loss to the Cougars.

Glendora, CA – After dropping two straight contests in uninspiring fashion, the Citrus College Women’s Soccer team looked to bounce back on Tuesday evening when they travelled to Los Angeles Valley College. The Owls did that, thanks to sophomore Emily Fadem who scored in the 72nd minute, in Citrus’ 1-0 victory over the Monarchs.

Glendora, CA - A week after putting together arguably their best offensive performance against visiting Mt. San Antonio College, the Citrus College Women’s Soccer team put together maybe their worst of the season when they hosted Fullerton College. The Owls got stung by the visiting Hornets as they gave up three scores, and scored just once despite several good looks in a 3-1 loss.

Glendora, CA - With three starters on the shelf due to injury and two more playing out of position the Citrus College Women’s Soccer team simply didn’t have enough when they hosted Santa Monica College on Tuesday night. The Owls gave up two first half goals, and couldn’t come up with enough offense in the second half in a 2-1 loss to the Corsairs.

Glendora, CA – Freshman forward Jacqueline Mejia scored twice, and the Citrus College Women’s Soccer team shutout the visiting Oxnard College Condors. The Owls five combined saves from sophomore Brittni Armas and Amber Henry who split time in goal, in their 2-0 win.
