No. 9-ranked Citrus College saw its five-game winning streak snapped Friday as Santa Monica College dealt the Owls a 3-0 blow.
The Owls fall to 11-2-0 overall and 5-1-0 in Western State Conference-South action with the loss. The Corsairs improve to 8-4-1 overall, 4-2-0 in conference.
Santa Monica managed to shut down Citrus' offense, limiting the Owls to just one shot on goal. It came in the 20th minute as Jayme Beatty got a look on goal.
The Owls look to bounce back on Tuesday, hosting Antelope Valley College at 5:30 p.m.
