In a ranked battle, No. 17-ranked College of the Canyons came out on top with a 2-0 victory over No. 12 Citrus College.

The Owls slip to 14-4-1 on the year and 8-3-1 in Western State Conference-South action. The Cougars improve to 12-3-3 overall, 9-1-2 in conference.

Kaylee Sanchez gave the Owls some of their best chances, finishing with five shots, including four on goal. Abigail Salvador and Emily Ruiz also had shots on goal, but the Cougar goalkeeper finished with six saves to keep the Owls off the board.

Citrus closes out the regular season on the road, taking on Santa Monica College on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. before heading to Antelope Valley College on Friday.
