No. 13-ranked Antelope Valley College didn't let No. 15-ranked Citrus College get in its way of a conference championship as the Marauders grabbed a 2-0 victory over the Owls.
Citrus finishes the Western State Conference-South slate with an 8-5-1 record, sitting 14-6-1 overall. AVC improves to 14-3-4 overall and 11-0-3 in conference.
The Owls had their chances but couldn't get past the AVC goalkeeper, who made six saves to preserve her shutout. Jayme Beatty, Abigail Salvador, Samantha Casas and Janelle Alvarado all had shots on goal in the game.
Maddy Moris made seven saves for Citrus to try to keep her team in the game.
The Owls find out their fate for postseason on Monday.
