Citrus College dominated a 4-0 victory over Grossmont College Tuesday evening in its home debut.

The Owls improve to 1-1-0 on the young season, while the Griffins fall to 0-2-0 on the year.

It didn't take long for Citrus to get on the board as the home team found the back of the net in the second minute of action. After Jayme Beatty drove down the left sideline, she found Dianna Garcia at the top of the box. Garcia played it through to Emily Cherry, who easily tucked away her first goal of the season.

Less than two minutes later, Cherry struck again, tapping in a Beatty cross from close range to double the Owls' lead 2-0.

The Griffins held the Owls off for the remainder of the first half, but Citrus kept pushing and broke through again in the 56th minute. After Citrus drew a foul 30 yards out from the Grossmont goal, Emily Romero fired off a long-range shot, but it bounced off the crossbar. Lucy Bower was crashing the net, however, and headed it home to extend the Owls' lead to 3-0.

Beatty put the final dagger in the game after curving in a shot to the far post off another Garcia pass in the 74th minute.

Citrus heads back out on the road for four-straight games, first taking on San Bernardino Valley on Friday at 5 p.m.
