Citrus College scored first but couldn't hold onto the victory, settling for a 1-1 draw at San Bernardino Valley College Friday evening.

The Owls move to 1-1-1 on the year, while the Wolverines sit at 1-3-1 overall with the result.

Citrus found the back of the net first as Samantha Casas scored her first goal of the season, firing off a shot to the far post to give the visitors an early lead.

The Wolverines looked like they might have an answer in the 20th minute, getting in behind the Owl defense, but Maddy Moris made one of her eight saves of the night to keep SBVC off the board.

Things changed in the second half, however, as the Wolverines poured on the pressure.

In the 64th minute, SBVC drew a penalty kick and although Moris made an incredible PK save, the Wolverines snuck in a goal a minute later to tie things up.

Time ran out before either side could capitalize again to result in the 1-1 tie.

Citrus continues its away stand with its second of four-straight road games on Tuesday at Pasadena City College, kicking off at 4 p.m.
