Citrus College battled but couldn't overcome West LA Wednesday night, dropping a 3-1 loss (25-17, 25-25, 25-20, 25-23).
The Owls slip to 7-15 overall and 3-6 in Western State Conference-South action, while the Wildcats improve to 10-10, 5-4.
Caren Stone and Sabrina Evangelista each led the Owls with 10 kills, while Miah Soriano chipped in eight kills and Gabriella Aguilar added another seven. Vanessa Marquez dished out 35 assists, while adding 14 digs on defense. Alexis Aguayo also had 14 digs and Mychaela Ortiz posted 10 digs.
The Owls take on Bakersfield College on Friday on the road with first serve set for 6 p.m.
