Academic Programs

At Citrus College there are a number of different resources on campus that can help you succeed as a student. There's the Citrus College, College Success Program that offers various resources to those students enrolled in credit basic skills courses. The Writing Cafe' offers students a inviting and comfortable place to complete writing assignments for their courses, and a place where students can get help on those assignments. Students can utilize the Math Success Center where they can work on math homework, form study groups, or get help from highly qualified peers. Citrus College also boasts an Honors Program that allows those students who desire to be pushed a little harder, and can handle a more rigorous academic load. In addition, Citrus College proudly offers a substantial amount of Online Education courses which are mostly taken online and allow for a more flexible schedule. The Citrus College Career Transfer Center provides Citrus students with a place that serves students needs for career development and transfer. Citrus College also recently instituted an Early Alert Program that helps identify those students who may need extra help before the semester ends.

Citrus students also have access to the STEM Program which was developed as a part of a five year government grant awarded to the college, to help steer underepresented students to the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. Citrus is also home to the Center for Teacher Education a program that partners with the University of La Verne to help prepare future educators. Citrus also has instituted a revolutionary program involving Learning Communities, in which students take an entire schedule of classes with the same individuals in order to form a closer bond and better sense of accountability.

Citrus College is proud to offer a number of other programs including the EOP&S (which helps community college students from economically and educationally disadvantaged backgrounds suceed), DSPS (which provides help for those students with disabilities), and a nationally recognized Veterans Program (which helps guide our nations veterans with their transition into various educational fields). 

Citrus is also home to a state of the art learning resource center in the form of the Citrus College Library. As a Citrus student you have access to numerous resources including computers, books, online databases, and much much more.
