Mikal Sims helped power No. 3 Citrus College Men’s Basketball to two dominant victories last week.

Against College of the Canyons on Wednesday, Jan. 14, Sims scored nine points on 3-of-7 shooting, including two three-pointers, and added two rebounds, one assist, and two steals, helping the Owls secure a 99–82 win. He followed with a season-high 20 points against Santa Monica College, shooting 8-of-9 from the field, making two three-pointers, and going a perfect 2-for-2 from the free-throw line. Sims also contributed two rebounds and three steals in the 147–85 victory, which set a program record for most points in a game.

Citrus College improves to 18-1 overall and will face West Los Angeles College on the road Saturday, Jan. 24, at 3 p.m.
