Los Angeles, CA -- After a big come from behind win on Friday at Cerritos and an emotional victory over SoCal #1 Rio Hondo on Saturday, the Citrus College Baseball team ran out of team on Sunday afternoon against SoCal #12 East Los Angeles College in a 12-3 loss.

Things started off well enough for the Owls as they plated a run in the top of the first when sophomore Mike Rowland's sacrifice fly to center field scored freshman Jonathon Reynoso from third. The Huskies would answer with a single run in each of the third and the fifth innings though, to take a 2-1 lead midway through.

Citrus would come right back in the top of the sixth and knotted the game up at two runs a piece when freshman Nick Simons hit a double to right center field that scored sophomore William Ouellette. The game spiraled out of control in the bottom of the inning though as East LA put up eight runs to go up 10-2.

The Huskies then added two more insurance runs in the bottom of the eighth to go up 10. Citrus would get one more run in the top of the ninth when Rowland hit a double to center that scored freshman Michael Bradley, but that's all they mustered in their first loss of the year. In the loss, Citrus was led by sophomore Blake James and Reynoso who both went 3 for 4.

With the loss, Citrus falls to 2-1 on the year. The Owls will try and get back on track on Tuesday when they get back on the road to take on San Bernardino Valley College. First pitch is set for 2:00 PM.
