Culver City, CA -- The Citrus College Baseball team stopped a small two game slide on Tuesday afternoon with a 10-0 walloping of West Los Angeles College. The Owls scored all 10 runs in the first four innings as the picked up their second straight conference victory.

Freshman Matthew Reynoso plated the Owls' first run on Tuesday scoring on a wild pitch in the top half of the first inning. After getting shut down in the second inning, Citrus poured it on in the third inning posting a five spot. Sophomore Mike Rowland started it off with a sacrifice fly to left, followed by freshman Jayson De La Pena driving in two with a single. In the fourth, the Owls kept it rolling with another four runs. De La Pena drove in two, as did sophomore William Ouellette who also doubled in a pair of scores.

At the plate, the Owls used five different pitchers, who combined to give up seven hits and one walk, to go along with nine strikeouts. Sophomore Oscar Gomez, pitched the first five, earning the win, and recording four K's for himself.

With the win, Citrus improves to 11-15 overall and 5-10 in WSC South play. The Owls will try and get the season series win over the Wildcats on Thursday when they host West LA at Citrus College. First pitch is set for 2:30 PM.
