Oxnard, CA -- The Citrus College Baseball program hit the road on Tuesday for the first game of their two week road trip and were sent back home without a run. The Owls matched a season high with nine strikeouts at the plate, and were shutout for the third time this year, in a 6-0 loss at Oxnard College.

Oxnard did all of its damage between the third and fourth innings. The Condors got a run in the third and then scored five more in the fourth to take that seemingly insurmountable lead. The Owls had at least two runners on base in each of the 4th, 5th, and 7th innings, but never got anything out of it. Freshman Aaron Torres was 2 for 4 at the plate and sophomore Matthew Reynoso was 2 for 3 on the day for the Owls.

With the loss, Citrus drops to 3-5 on the year. The Owls will try and rally on Thursday when they head back out the 101 to take on Ventura College at 2:00 PM.
