Santa Clarita, CA -- The Citrus College Baseball continued their sweet ride on Tuesday afternoon as they picked up their sixth straight win. The Owls won their season series with College of the Canyons with a 9-0 victory over the Cougars.

Freshman Sean Patton, who has been nearly unhittable in WSC South play, continued his hot streak on the mound on Tuesday with a six innings quality start. Patton scattered three hits and four walks, as he pitched six shutout innings, while striking out seven total batters.

At the plate the Owls did just enough damage early, and then put the game away for good late. Sophomore Matthew Reynoso drove in the game's first run with a sacrifice fly to center field in the top of the third. Citrus didn't score again until the top of the fifth with three spot as sophomore's Nathan Virgen and Jonathon Reynoso drove in a run each as did freshman Taylor Grace. In the top of the seventh, the Owls dashed any of the remaining Cougar hopes with four more runs, as Jonny Reynoso, Grace, and sophomore Brandon Castaneda and Michael Bradley each drove in a run.

With the win, Citrus improves to 15-11 overall and 8-5 in WSC South play. The Owls will be on the road again on Thursday when they head to Antelope Valley College for a 2:30 PM start.
