San Jacinto, CA - Citrus College sophomore Rodnee Little came up one RBI shy of matching a program record for most RBIs in a game, going 4 for 5 with five runs scored and seven RBIs in Citrus' 20-4 victory at Mt. San Jacinto College.

It took a few innings for the Citrus offense to get going, and it was Little who ignited it. Little drove in the game's first two runs via an two RBI double to right-center. Shortly thereafter freshman Francisco Ramirez made it a 3-0 game with a RBI single to right field that plated Little.

The Owls kept it going in the top of the fourth when sophomore Rudy Casarez the III drove in a run via an RBI single to left. Little followed that up with an RBI single of his own, while freshman Steven Mendoza drove in a pair to make it 7-0. The Owls weren't done scoring in the inning though as sophomore Ryan Aguilar scored from third after Mendoza was caught in a run down on a stolen base attempt.

In the top of the sixth, Citrus had their biggest inning of the game with 10 runs in total scored. Ramirez and freshman Kyosuke Ushimaru drove in a run each off singles, while sophomore Joshua Chua hit a bases clearing 3 RBI triple. Sophomore Michael Carlos would get in on the action with an RBI single, but it was Little who brought the place down with a grand slam to center field that made it 18-0.

The Owls would score twice more before the game was over, getting an RBI single from freshman Dominic Baca and a run from freshman Grant Ponder who scored thanks to a Mt. San Jacinto error. Sophomore Kyle Dohy would earn his first victory of the 2016 season, pitching five innings in total giving up just three hits, one walk, and no runs. Of the 15 outs he got, 11 came via the strikeout.

With the win, Citrus improves to 7-4-1 and will travel to Ventura College for a 1:00 PM showdown with the #12 team in Southern California on Saturday.
