Glendora, CA - After winning three straight contests, and going 5-3-1 in their last nine, the Citrus College Baseball team had the appearance of a team that was finally hitting it's stride as conference play began. That all got turned on it's ear on Tuesday afternoon though when the Owls got rocked to the tune of a 15-5 loss at the hands of visiting Pasadena City College.

The trouble started early for the Owls as the Lancers came out swinging, literally, with nine runs over the first two innings. Before Citrus could even blink they were in a 9-0 hole, and before they could even score their first run of the game, they trailed 12-0.

Those runs in the game wouldn't came until much later when sophomore Rodnee Little continued his recent hot streak at the plate by belting a bases clearing 3-RBI double to center field that plated freshman Marcos Campos and sophomores Rudy Casarez III and Michael Carlos.

Citrus would score twice more in the bottom of the fifth, thanks to RBIs from sophomore Joshua Chua and Casarez. The Owls would even make it 12-5 after sophomore Ryan Aguilar scored via a wild pitch in the bottom of the eighth, but Citrus was never really in it as Pasadena put the game away with two more scores in the top of the ninth.

In the loss, Casarez would finish 2 for 4 while Little was 2 for 5. With the loss, Citrus drops to 7-5-1 on the season. The Owls will take the remainder of the week off, and then be back in action next Tuesday when they kick-off WSC South play against SoCal #2 College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, at 2:00 PM.
