Glendora, CA - When the Citrus College Baseball team took on visiting Mt. San Antonio College in the final game of their 2016 conference spring break, the Owls got nothing good to take. The Owls struck out eight times and had a season low three hits in a 10-2 loss.

The trouble started early for the Owls with the Mounties putting up four runs in the top of the second inning. The Owls looked like they'd try to keep pace early when sophomore Ryan Aguilar hit an RBI single that brought in freshman Marcos Campos, but the Owls offense fell near silent throughout the remainder of the contest.

Mt. SAC would score a run in the fourth, and five more in the sixth to jump out to a 10-1 advantage. Freshman Jacob Gafford would come up with an RBI single to right-center plating sophomore Joshua Chua in the bottom of the seventh, but there was no more action for the Owls when they were in the batters box.

With the loss, Citrus drops to 10-10-1 on the year. The Owls will resume WSC South play for the remainder of their 2016 slate, beginning on Tuesday when they host Los Angeles Valley College at 2:30 PM.
