Freshman Franciso Ramirez was 3 for 5 with a run in Citrus' loss vs LA Valley.

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Baseball team's recent struggles over the last week and a half continued on Tuesday afternoon when they hosted Los Angeles Valley College in WSC South action. The Owls recorded 10 hits, but again where held to very few runs in a 12-1 loss.

LA Valley wasted little time in jumping all over the Owls scoring all 12 of their runs in the first four innings. The Owls would put runners on base in four of the first five innings, but strand them all. The Owls only run would come in the bottom of the eighth, and it would be of the unearned variety when freshman Francisco Ramirez scored on a passed ball from third.

With the loss, Citrus drops 10-11-1 overall and 3-4 in WSC South play. The Owls will head to Valley Glen for the second of three games on Thursday. First pitch is set for 2:30 PM.
