Glendora, CA - Midway through Tuesday afternoon's Western State Conference South Division contest with SoCal #5 Glendale College, the Citrus College Baseball team was in a primo position, holding a 4-2 lead through four innings. The Owls couldn't sustain the early lead though as the Vaqueros rallied with five runs in the fifth and sixth innings to defeat Citrus 7-4.

The Owls' first run came via a balk, when sophomore Michael Carlos scored from third on the false start by the Glendale pitcher. The Vaqueros would briefly take the lead in the top of the second with a pair of scores that made it 2-1, but the Owls rallied in the bottom half of the inning getting an RBI single from freshman Marcos Campos and a fielder's choice RBI from sophomore Rudy Casarez to put the Owls back in front 3-2.

In the bottom of the fourth, Citrus extended their lead with an RBI double off the bat of Campos that made it 4-2. The lead would last until the top of the fifth when Glendale tied it up with a pair of runs. In the top of the sixth, Glendale put the game away with a 3-run blast that made it 7-4.

With the loss, Citrus drops to 11-12-1 overall and 4-6 in WSC South play. The Owls are scheduled to take on Glendale again on Thursday in Glendale.
