Sylmar, CA - The slog that is the Citrus College Baseball team's current six game losing streak continued over the weekend when Los Angeles Mission College wrapped up a sweep of the Owls with a 5-2 win over Citrus. Freshman Roberto Baldanebro pitched a complete game in a losing effort for Citrus.

Mission would land the game's first blow with a run in the bottom of the first. Citrus answered in the top of the third thanks to an error by the Eagles that allowed freshman Cooper Hughes to score. LA Mission would pull ahead by a single run in the bottom of the third, after Baldanebro hit a batter with the bases loaded, but sophomore Joseph Morreale doubled in sophomore Joshua Chua in the top of the fourth to tie the game back up at 2-2.

The game would stay locked at two runs a piece, until Mission rallied with three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning. Citrus would come up empty in the top of the ninth with a fly out and a pair of ground outs that ended the game.

With the loss, Citrus drops to 11-18-1 overall and 4-11 in WSC South play. The Owls will be back at home on Tuesday for the first of a three game set against West Los Angeles College. First pitch is set for 2:30 PM.
