Ventura College put together two big innings to grab a 14-9 victory over Citrus College.
The Owls slip to 5-6 on the year, while the Pirates improve to 4-8.
Citrus was just three hits behind Ventura, finishing with 13 hits. Chad Green and Robert Moreno each finished with three hits, while Devon Diaz, Diego Gonzales and Matthew Espinoza each had two hits in the game. Jared Gener also had a hit.
The Owls head back out on the road, taking on San Bernardino Valley College on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
