Three Owls Earn All-Conference Honors

Three Citrus College Owls earned All-Western State Conference second-team honors following the conclusion of the season: Ryan Luiz Harney, Conner McKinney and Devon Diaz.

Harney had a stellar collegiate debut on the mound for the Owls. He finished with 66 strikeouts, which ranks third in the WSC-South and 48th in the CCCAA overall. The freshman right-handed pitcher grabbed five wins and two saves and finished with a 4.69 ERA.

McKinney finished the year with the second-best batting average in the WSC-South Division, boasting a .387. Of his 55 hits, he had 10 home runs (third in the WSC-South) and 14 doubles (fourth in conference). The freshman first baseman/pitcher finished with 29 runs and 41 RBIs and boasted a .470 on-base percentage and .697 slugging percentage (third in the WSC-South).

Diaz led the Owls with a .351 batting average on the year, finishing with 59 hits (fourth in the WSC-South). He had nine doubles and one triple, scored 39 runs and knocked in 33 RBIs. The freshman outfielder also led Citrus with 13 stolen bases, which ranked 10th in the conference, and drew 29 walks (third in the WSC-South).
