AVC Comes Back to Beat Citrus

Antelope Valley
With inclement weather pending, Citrus College and Antelope Valley College moved their game up to Monday and the Marauders grabbed a walk-off 16-15 victory.
The Owls drop to 4-15 on the year and 0-4 in Western State Conference action, while the Marauders improve to 8-11 overall and 1-3 in conference.
Chad Green had a solid showing at the plate, going 3-for-3 (a double and home run) with two runs, three RBIs and three walks. Connor Green also had three hits (3-for-4) with two runs and five RBIs, while Nicholas Santiago finished 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. Diego Gonzales (3-for-5) and Devon Diaz (3-for-7) also finished with multiple hits for the Owls.
Citrus scored first and held a 15-14 lead heading into the bottom of the ninth, but AVC hit a two-run homer to grab the walk-off win.
The Owls and Marauders continue their series on Thursday at Citrus at 2:30 p.m.
