Citrus College battled back from a 6-0 deficit to grab a 7-6 walk-off victory over El Camino College Wednesday afternoon.

The Owls improve to 1-1 on the year, while the Warriors slip to 2-2 overall.

Six Owls had hits in the game, led by Jaden St. Cyr who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs. Jordan Sheridan went 2-for-4 with a run scored and another batted in. Chase Bernal, Connor Green, Luke Willison, and Jason Armendariz also had hits in the game for Citrus.

Citrus found itself trailing 6-0 heading into the bottom of the seventh but plated four runs to put itself back in the game.

With Willison on base, Sheridan singled to right field, allowing Willison to round second and third to put the Owls on the board.

The Warriors managed to get two outs, but the Owls never quit as St. Cyr tripled to left to score two runs and Bernal sent him home with a base hit to left field, 6-4.

Citrus tied things up in the eighth after a two-run homer from Willison and a Warrior error in the bottom of the ninth gave St. Cyr the green light to come home for the game-winning run.

Reece Harney picked up the win for the Owls on the mound and threw two strikeouts in two innings, while Aiden Taylor tossed six strikeouts.

The Owls look to carry momentum into their series with Rio Hondo College, originally scheduled for Thursday and Saturday but likely to change due to the impending rain.
