Citrus College scored first but couldn't hold on in a 7-1 loss at Riverside City College Friday afternoon.
The Owls drop to 8-6 on the year, while the Tigers improve to 13-4 overall.
Four Owls had hits in the game – Jaden St. Cyr (1-for-3), Connor Green (1-for-3), Jordan Sheridan (1-for-4) and Jason Armendariz (1-for-3) – but Citrus could only send one runner home.
In the top of the first, Chase Bernal took advantage of an RCC error to get on second and came home on a Green single to center.
The Tigers evened things up in the bottom of the second, however, and tacked on some insurance to run away with the 7-1 victory.
Citrus looks to bounce back at home as it hosts the College of the Canyons on Tuesday for the first Western State Conference-South game of the year.
