Citrus College dropped an 18-14 loss on the road at LA Mission College Saturday afternoon, despite out-hitting the home team 19-to-16.
The Owls slip to 11-10 overall and 3-3 in Western State Conference action, while the Eagles improve to 8-14 on the year, 2-4 in conference.
Multiple Owls finished with multiple hits, with Mario Catalan (4-for-6) leading the way. Jaden St. Cyr (3-for-6, five RBIs) and Jason Armendariz (3-for-5, two runs) followed with three hits each, while Nathan Hellein (2-for-5, three runs), Connor Green (2-for-4, two runs), and Sean Rooney (2-for-4) also had multiple hits in the game. Michael Reyes, Jordan Quintero, and Ben O'Neil also had hits for the Owls.
Citrus starts a new WSC series on Tuesday as Antelope Valley College comes to town for a 2:30 p.m. contest.
