Owls Fall to Huskies

Citrus College Baseball suffered a 16-8 loss at home today to East Los Angeles College. 

Citrus College goes to 2-3 on the season, while East Los Angeles College improves to 3-3 overall on the year. 

Through three innings the Huskies scored five runs to the Owls one run and at the top of the fifth inning the Huskies scored five more runs to go up 10-1. Citrus College responded with a six-run bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 10-7. East Los Angeles College ended up scoring six more runs in the game while Citrus College scored one run with the final score being 16-8. 

Nathan Hellein led the Owls, going 2-for-5 with a homerun and three RBIs. Chase Bernal went 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Joshua Cortinas drove in two runs and scored one run, while Isaac Nava went 2-for-3 with one run scored and three RBIs. 

Citrus College will travel to East Los Angeles College for a rematch of this afternoon's game on Thursday, February 6th at 5 p.m.
