Porter Gets Player of the Week Nod

Glendora, CA -- Citrus College freshman quarterback Bernard Porter was named the Central Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his game at El Camino last Saturday. It's the first Player of the Week nod for Porter, and the fourth straight week that a Citrus player has been granted the award.

Porter helped lead the Owls past El Camino on Saturday night 32-18. Porter rebounded from an interception on Citrus' first drive to go 23 for 30 for 319 yards and four touchdowns. Two of those touchdowns came in the fourth quarter.

Porter and the rest of the Owls will be back out on the gridiron this Saturday when they head to Long Beach City College to take on the Vikings in Memorial Stadium. Kick-off is set for 1:00 PM
