Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Football team stayed at #5 in the latest Southern California Football Association Coaches Poll for the third straight week. In addition the Owls moved up to #10 in the State Poll, and #27 in the JCGridiron.com Dirty 30 National Poll.

Citrus is coming off a 43-24 win over unranked Long Beach City College last Saturday. The Owls racked up a season high 240 yards on the ground including 112 from sophomore Phillip Sainz.  The win, moved Citrus to 7-2 on the season, the first time they've reached the seven win plateau since the 2007 season.

For the third straight week nothing in the Top 5 even changed in the SCFA Poll. All five teams, #1 Mt. SAC, #2 Ventura, #3 Riverside, and #4 Bakersfield all won along with Citrus. Things did shake up in the State Poll though as the Owls moved up one spot to #10 after North #7 San Joaquin Delta dropped out of the Top 10.

In the JCGridiron Poll, the Owls continued to climb in the national rankings. Citrus is up to #27 after being #28 last week, and debuting in the poll four weeks ago at #30.

The Owls will have a tall test on Friday evening when they close out the regular season at home against Los Angeles Harbor College. Harbor (5-4, 3-2) is currently ranked #8 in Southern California and #19 in the State. Kick-off is set for 6:00 PM in Citrus Stadium.
