Glendora, CA -- After four years out of post-season competition, the Citrus College Football team was granted a bowl game this afternoon. It's the first time the Owls have played in a bowl game since 2007, when Citrus took on Fullerton College in the Orange County Bowl. Citrus will take on Fullerton again in the Western State Bowl on Saturday in Fullerton.

Citrus is coming off their best regular season since 2006, when the Owls also went 7-3. Led by freshman quarterback Bernard Porter (2,041 yards passing, 22 TD's) and sophomore safety Rodney Mathews (80 tackles, 3 picks, 4 pass break-ups) the Owls were mainstays in the Southern California Top 10 all season long.

Their opponent on Saturday will be the second place team from the Southern Conference and #8 ranked team in Southern California. The Hornets went 6-4 on
the season. For more information on the other bowl and playoff games please visit scfafootball.com
